This is my favorite song from my favorite group. I must confess, I can’t listen to the whole thing without crying just a little bit. It’s that beautiful! I remember telling your mom Earth Wind and Fire was the best group of all-time. She didn’t agree with me, but I’m still right!

Weather or not

Rain rain go away
it really rained quite hard today.

Sorry, that’s all I’ve got. It really did rain a lot today. There were floods and even one SEPTA bus got stuck and the riders had to stand on top of the bus to get rescued! That really happened!

Well, catch you later, Princess.

The Canary

Mary had a little bird,
With feathers bright and yellow,
Slender legs-upon my word,
He was a pretty fellow!

Sweetest notes he always sung,
Which much delighted Mary;
Often where his cage was hung,
She sat to hear Canary.

Crumbs of bread and dainty seeds
She carried to him daily,
Seeking for the early weeds,
She decked his palace gaily.

This, my little readers, learn,
And ever practice duly;
Songs and smiles of love return
To friends who love you truly.

Little Things

Little drops of water,
Little drains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the beauteous land.

And the little moments,
Humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages
Of eternity.

So our little errors
Lead the soul away,
From the paths of virtue
Into sin to stray.

Little deeds of kindness,
Little words of love,
Make our earth an Eden,
Like the heaven above.

– Julia Carney

A little poem, just for you!

Love, Pop pop

To dream of verdant pastures and azure skies,

of panoramic bliss before our eyes;

a realm where peace abounds across the land

where kinship is born from nothing more

than an outstrecthed hand

and rests on nothing less than an honest word.

To dream of playful cheer and joyful song,

of pleasant smiles among the throng

of happy neighbors joined by one-time strangers

and warm embraces from sentimental faces

as well as caresses that ignite the breast.

And let the dream begin…

This one might be a little grown up for you but after what’s been going on in the world lately I thought it was kinda appropriate.
